Today was a wonderful day out with my Dad, Roland and my sister. We had lunch and went to a few stores. I was just so happy to be out and about on such a pretty day!
We came back home and I made salmon for dinner. Then we relaxed and watched a movie. It was a really lovely day to spend all together! We did miss Mom but she was out having a great time in WV.

We have a lovely view of all the front yards on our street.  We have set out bird seed on the big  floor to ceiling window in the living room. We have many visitors!
Two morning Doves, that live at our house. They come by every morning and every evening for breakfast and dinner! Such a cute couple!
This is Notch, named so because of the notch taken out of his ear. He comes by several times a day, and mocks our cats on the other side of the window.
Roland love's squirrels. I told him Notch could be our outdoors pet, so today we bought an entire bag of squirrel chow. I can't wait for him to see it tomorrow!
Telly enjoyed the sunshine today. Tiger really enjoyed the sunshine, cause he got out of the house again today! He was a cleaver boy. He either found a hole, or made a hole in the folding screen of the window A/C. But he was waiting at the door when we got home today.
He got a can of cat food all to himself and he ate the entire thing. Then gave himself a quick bath. I then got out my string-stick and we played for a good 20 mins.  Until...
He fell a sleep on the toy.
Telly and Roland had a quick spat over the Remote.
So in retaliation Telly decided that she needed the entire couch to herself. (click the pic for cute kitty belly!)
Telly being awesome.
Telly being cute!
You wanna touch her belly, admit it!

Since I have been so busy the last month I thought we could sit down have a cup of tea and catch up a bit!  The Thursday before my wedding, my now beloved in-laws held a party at their rented vacation house on a huge lake!
Roland and I went over a few times for dinner and just to spend time with his family, but this party was the first time for our familys and friends to meet. I was a bit nervous, but everyone seemed to really have a great time! I know Roland's mother just loved having everyone together.
There were grilled goodness and salads and a magnificent pavlova! Sorry I didn't get a picture of it, but it was heavenly!
The guys flocked around the grill, as they tend to, but isn't Roland looking handsome in his suit!
My wonderful bridesmaids were there and looking great!
They all seemed to be in yellow!  Strangely enough my brother, and Roland's sister also wore yellow, how curious!
My sister was so cute!  She just shined! I love her so much, this is a true Vickie smile, she doesn't like her real smile but to me there is nothing more beautiful!
My sweetest friend. I was a bit worried about. She is hilarious and a joy to be around, but sometimes the things that come out of her mouth can be jarring to the brain.  I love her so much and she was perfect and beautiful! She's been trying to lose weight for the wedding and she really did a great job! Follow her and her journey! Click here!
It was a wonderful meet and greet and I give them a big thanks and a big warm hug! We miss you guys so much!
Married life is pretty great! Roland is super sweet and I am happy, he is happy, our cats are happy.
Life is good

Sometimes it rains, and sometimes it hails. Today it hailed. Seriously.
My mom called 15 mins before the hail hit, and said "you should put the car under the carport"  and for some reason I felt like it.  Just another reason to listen to your mom.
The rain came down down down.
It was a good 20 mins of rain.
But as with all things the rain must stop. The sun has to come back out.  And eventually it will dry up all the rain.
Yes that is steam rising from the roof mins after the rain stopped.
In other news I have finally settled a lot of house stuff. I really like my cute little home. It seems to be from the 50's.  We have a bed room a guest room a living room a work room and an eat in kitchen.
Our bed room still really plain, but I like simple clean comfy rooms.
The work room. Has all my craft stuff and my sewing machine and other artsy stuff, and some antiques I plan to start selling.
My very 1950's kitchen, it's clean for now! The cats seem really really happy. Roland seems really really happy. And that is all I want from life. When they are happy, I know I have done a good job.

There and Back Again a Wedding's Tale

So I have had to take a break for about a month to get all the wedding stuff done. I can proudly say I have been happily married for a whole week!
I am so happy to have been able to spend this time only with close family and friends. For Roland and I that's exactly who we wanted at our wedding no more and no less.
The wedding it's self I put it all together, and It was lovely.  The flowers I arranged myself and just bought the Wednesday before.
Isn't Roland handsome!  I picked the colors of his tie, and it matched our invitations!
My handsome brother! He was the only guy other than my groom in our wedding party.
And all the ladies! They were so cute! I was so happy they traveled so far to celebrate our wedding with us!
Our mothers wanted me to be hidden from Roland until I went down the aisle, being that it was out doors this was a challenge, but then I created the Bridal Guard.  With our parasols of battle we were armed and ready!
After the ceremony I changed into the little party dress that was designed by me but my Aunt Bea attached the lace.  It was perfect for a little garden party reception!
Our cake was baked for us by a lady at my moms church. The birds were hand made for us by The Air Castle, an artist on Etsy.  The cherry blossom sugar gum flowers were made by Sweet Deja vu.Roland and I made the little heart.  It was just perfect for us. The whole day was.  I am so happy it is over but I was so proud of the work I did and of the time an effort people put into our wedding!  We are truly blessed. But now it is time to rest.
