Last week Andong experienced its coldest weather in 10 years.  Tuesday afternoon it started to snow.  Then it continued through work, the roads got so bad that my late night classes were canceled.
Roland was super happy, and we had a great time going home. All kinds of people were out, but the traffic was only a fraction of what it usually is.
It snowed all the way home, and on the way it began. No one knows who through the first snowball, (It was probably me) but we played in the snow the rest of the way home.
We love the snow! There were many people playing and taking pictures in the park near our home. It's been 5 days and the ice and snow are still hanging on.
We rested Saturday, because it was still really cold, but we went out today to see what there was to see, and to go out to dinner.
We stopped by the park near our home.

I often see kids playing on the gazebo, we don't know the Korean name for it.

The snowy ice was hanging far over it, and dripping, I thought it was pretty and peaceful. If you click on this picture, it gets full sized.
The day was bright and beautiful, it was about 3 Celsius.

We went to a bakery for lunch.

This was my BLT with onions and pickles, it's how its made, but the fresh veggies are wonderful!

When I looked up to get a picture of Roland's lunch all I could see was a little sauce on his face and puffed out cheeks. *sigh* I was just not fast enough!

We saw this garage along the way.

The Oops garage, excellent.

There were some flint lock pistols set up in a bar window.

This is Roland's favorite shop, can you see why?  Hot meat in a steamy bun for a dollar.  The entire staff nods and says "Hi" when they see him.

I wonder what's on the second floor of this building...

These squid were bright and bobbing in the water.  We were both pretty hungry by then.

We had Samgyeopsal.  It's the grilled pork and vegetables, and pickled side dishes at your table. We went to the same restaurant as before.

You are supposed to finish your meal with a bowl of noodles or rice and soup. We have no idea what most of them are, so knowing that we should get something, we tend to just point at what someone else is eating. It worked out rather well this time. This is Kimchi something something. We can't remember, but we took a picture of the menu and are slowly making it in to our personal English menu. We only ordered one bowl, because it's so much food!

So we use a little dish to share. When it comes its not spicy, but it comes with a really hot, onion an pepper sauce to add to your taste. Roland added a small spoon, I added 4. We were both very content with the day.
While shopping one thing we wanted was a slatted board to put in our bath room to keep our feet from getting wet after a shower.  I loved this one! Roland won though, and we just got a normal wooden one.

We  did get these glasses, they were on sale and we had been talking about buying 2 more, our others are tall and thin and hard to clean.

I loved this little dish! It was just adorable so I got it!

This is probably the most exciting thing! Look at all the colors for me to use on my white board!  I am so excited for Monday.

Even though it's so cold, Roland and I wanted to pick up some ice cream from the mini mart. We found a corn ice cream bar and I thought of my Daddy.

There will be cake at the end of this blog.
The cake is a lie, but they lie has caramel!
