Today was a national holiday here in Australia.  I believe it was Labor Day.  We didn't really celebrate it like we do back home.  There were no cook outs no shrimp on the barbie. Though to be honest I never have seen that here.  We didn't meet up with friends.  On Labor Day, I have been told that people usually catch up with work around the house.  I think I like our Labor Day much better.

Roland and his Dad worked outside in the garden. They moved the shed around the planter  and over to the side of the house. It was quite a project. This summer has been a reacord breaker for heat and that follows a record breaking winter for a lack of rain fall. All in all, I am glad I am not a plant. While the guys worked really hard I helped by staying out of their way.  Instead I did what I am good at and  took some pictures and played with the cat.

He and I did our chore of staying out of the way, by staying under the shade.  Every time I tried to get his attention for a picture he would jump up and run to do figure 8s around my legs.

Later I made dinner.  We had green beans cooked with butter, garlic, carrots and spring onion. I also made parmasan and parsley smashed potatoes. We had it together with the left over roast from yesterday.  It was a wonderful holiday.  We are going to watch some movies tonight and  enjoy more of our blueberry cheese cake like pudding!

Muwah!
